Mobile giants Nokia have launched the new Nokia X6 in the UK. The Nokia X6 which, priced at £529.99, is scheduled off contract with a release date set for the 12 November which is next week.
The Nokia X6 boasts of a 3.2 inch touch screen display along with a 5 megapixel camera and runs the Symbian Series 60 5th edition operating system. The phone measures 111mm x 51mm x 13.8mm and is a quad band phone on 2G networks that works as well on 3G and HSDPA. Other connectivity on the Nokia X6 includes Bluetooth 2.0 and wireless at 802.11g.
Storage capacity on the Nokia X6 is a fairly respectable 32GB for internal memory allowing over 8000 song to be stored or a number of photos and videos. The 5 megapixel camera is capable of capturing images at 30 frames per second at supreme DVD quality. Since you are paying full price for the phone, it is already unlocked when delivered and can work on any mobile phone network in the UK.
The X6 is technologically more advanced than the 5800 XpressMusic with a 5-megapixel camera and 32GB of internal storage. The Symbian S60 device continues to impress with a 640x360 screen, GPS and Wi-Fi. Nokia has given it 3G which does not support the North American frequencies besides GSM and EDGE. Off-contract, the X6 is slated to cost 450 Euros ($667) at full price but should cost less when subsidized by carriers.
